The consecration date for the new church of Holy Innocents, Parmelee, has been delayed from Aug. 22 to Sept. 23 at 2 p.m.
There were too many conflicting events happening on August 22, including the opening day of the Rosebud Wacipi and Fair, which includes the Rosebud Rodeo, and graduation from Sinte Gleska University.
Therefore, the leadership of Holy Innocents, after consulting with The Rt. Rev. Dr. Jonathan H. Folts, decided to postpone the consecration from August to September.
Progress continues on the building, with the framing going on, insulation going in, and wallboard going up.
