There's still time to get to camp this summer — and Thunderhead's final week is open to everyone.
Environmental Camp — All Ages runs July 12–17 at Thunderhead Episcopal Center in Lead, SD. This year we've opened the session to the whole community: families, individual adults, and youth campers ages 10–17 are all welcome.
Who can comeYouth ages 10–17 may attend independently as residential campers with TEC staff. Families with children of any age are welcome — children under 10 attend with a parent or guardian. Adults and individuals are welcome too.
What to expectThe week is led by Rev. Dr. Christina O'Hara (Good Shepherd, Sioux Falls) and Dr. David O'Hara (professor of Environmental Studies) — a married couple who bring both theological depth and hands-on ecological knowledge to every day of camp. Campers spend most of the week outside in He Sapa, with daily chapel, evening Compline, TEC classics like campfires, arts & crafts, and games, and a closing Eucharist woven throughout.
